Eye of the tiger

Just watching Rocky lll for the 1000th time (big Sly fan).

It’s always puzzled me that Apollo tells Rocky that in their last fight he had the eye of the tiger ie the look,or the hunger when I thought Rocky almost looked timid and says to Mick “He’s pretty mad” as he walks back to the corner.

FF to his 1st fight with Clubber after Mick falls ill,he looks angry and mean and comes out snarling and swinging and for the 1st minute looks devastating.

In short after 40 years I don’t think I know what eye of the tiger means.
