GUYS I FOUND A SOLUTION THAT WORKED FOR ME TO FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE WITH DOUBLES!!!

So!! I usually like to search in r/fictionkin or r/otherkin the name of one of my kinsiders. Since I haven't kinfirmed yet, it doesn't hurt to see doubles! So, if I do end up finding I kin that character, doubles don't hurt as much since I knew they existed beforehand.

I suggest checking both the "posts" category AND the "comments" category since some people don't post as their kin, just comment as them. I guess the overall theme is to expose yourself and get comfortable with doubles before they get to me uncomfortable to you and/or your kin becomes too personal.
