Positive Medical Abortion Experience 7weeks
I’m in Australia and I found a GP that prescribes the pill. Originally I was booked into MSI and it was going to cost me $303. However, this other GP I found only only charged for her consultation ($21 - because I have a HCC and Medicare - $31 if no HCC) and then the pills ($7 - again because I have a HCC and Medicare - $25 if you don’t have a HCC). So it only cost me $28 all up!
Took the first pill on the Wednesday. I had hyperemesis gravidarum (extreme vomiting and nausea from pregnancy) so I still experienced nausea and vomiting throughout that first day but that was it.
Took the second lot of pills orally the next night, ensured I vomited beforehand to make sure I didn’t vomit during the 30min they were in my mouth. Managed to swallow the remainder after 30 min.
Literally as soon as I swallowed the remainder I experienced mild dull cramps 1/10 and this heaviness feeling in my bum so I went and sat on the toilet.
Two big clots / sacks fell out and then I started heavily bleeding. Any cramps that had been there before went away after those first clots fell out (15 min).
At around the 1 hour mark I did vomit and have diarrhoea (vomiting could’ve just been from pregnancy but the diarrhoea was new - it was super watery diarrhea and was super unexpected because I’d been constipated the whole pregnancy).
Rest of the night clots would just come out everytime I went to the toilet but nothing painful.
I’ve had two kids and both their births were vaginal and unmedicated so I’m not sure if that helped my body and maybe was the reason it didn’t hurt at all.
But yeah, I was terrified after reading a lot of negative stories but it was honestly not bad at all.
Hope this reassures someone else ❤️❤️
