Club Pilates vs Bodybar — Need Advice
Hi everyone! I’d love some guidance from those who’ve tried both Club Pilates and Bodybar.
I’ve been going to Club Pilates for a while now (250+ classes), currently at Level 2 / 2.5, and I attend about 5 times a week. I genuinely feel challenged by the instructors and get a solid workout each time. My experience there has been mostly reformer-focused.
A new Bodybar location is opening right next to my building, and I’m tempted to switch for convenience alone (my current studio is about a 15-minute drive each way). What’s also appealing is that Bodybar seems to offer more variety — mat Pilates, tower, and other formats. I especially enjoy mat Pilates, so that caught my attention.
That said, I’ve seen mixed reviews online, so I’m feeling a bit unsure.
For those who’ve tried both:
- How does the workout intensity and progression compare?
- Do you feel Bodybar offers enough challenge at higher levels?
- How is the instructor quality and class structure?
- Is the variety actually beneficial, or do you miss the reformer-heavy focus?
- If you switched from Club Pilates to Bodybar (or vice versa), what made you stay?
Would really appreciate honest feedback before I make a decision. Thank you!
