Always hungry

My kitten Wilbur gets fed twice per day. He always comes into the kitchen to meow whenever we are in there meows and cries then when we put down his food, he will not eat in his room with the door closed, but then we come into this room to feed our other cat Charlotte and he will beg outside the door crying and come in and try to eat her food and then maybe eat his own food later. I don’t know what’s up. He’s a healthy kitten. He’s six months old.
