What type of therapy is most well-suited to [possible trigger warning]

I am curious if anyone is familiar with what type of therapy would be most appropriate for a person who deals with feelings or fantasies related to acting out violently toward another person, particularly a person who has done violent things to them.

In this hypothetical scenario, said person has never acted out violently toward another, but the internal feelings of rage and violence have been both consciously and unconsciously so overwhelming that it has affected their external reality (i.e., life) in marked and dramatic way. The person does not intend or desire to carry out the fantasies or feelings, but must deal with them in some way in order to heal and evolve psychologically.

Said person has had unsuccessful attempts to communicate and process said feelings with run-of-the-mill talk therapists who treat their inner life with judgment and suspicion.

Any ideas?
