Zeke's and Cane's age

So I just finished Book II Ghost and this bothered me whole the show, so please someone make it make sense:

1. Zeke was 23 and he was the first child of Monet when she was 16. So how old was Cane then? I was thinking he's at least 21-22? So Monet was too young to have a child at 16, she had to give him up, but she gave birth to Cane like next year and suddenly not too young for it? And then had Drew and Diana right after? Also, this means that Monet was 39 in the show, I was thinking she was about 50.

2. How is it possible that Zeke never noticed that his age is off by 4 years? So he was 7 years old thinking he's 3?
