Is there anything like a large box for a cat to jump in and out of, and nap in? I've used a cardboard box from a chair for almost 10 years and it's pretty ugly, but my cat loves it so much I can't get rid of it.

Advice

This box is about a 2 foot cube. It's 2 feet high, and I think about the same width on each side. It's very sturdy cardboard so my (large) cat has been able to jump in and out of it, using the edge to ricochet off of. If he's extra frisky he can just jump right over the ledge.

Basically what I'm saying is the size and thickness of the cardboard is perfect. But it's ugly.

He's used it to scratch, but we also have a large cactus scratcher so it's not totally needed for scratching, but the cardboard is shredded on the corners.

I've been trying to find a more permanent replacement for something like this, since it looks pretty ugly, and I'm surprised to not find anything anywhere that could solve this purpose, as my cat and every cat I've babysat for seems to love it.

I tried searching for something made of wood, other materials, but searching "box for cats" always just shows me litter boxes.

Other cat furniture/playing items are just the big trees and condos, which might be fun to climb on, but I think the jumping in and out of this box is actually giving them some good regular exercise, and they prefer this to anything like that, especially because it's very cozy in the box.

I'm moving soon and I think 10 years is long enough to keep a cardboard box.....but I feel bad to take it away from him since it's such a regular place he likes to hang out and play in.
