is $8,000 usd enough for an overseas worker to live in cayman islands?

my father is an overseas engineer and he got an offer of $8,000 usd per month to work in Cayman Islands. can you tell me if its worth it since he still provides for us in our home country. part of his benefits is a car and phone service plan. can someone also breakdown the typical living costs there? would so appreciate that thanks xx
