Mx master 3S is inaccurate scroll normal?

I just got a mx master 3s and overall it’s not bad but the main issue I’m running into is that I don’t know what’s an issue or a defect especially with the scroll wheel. I like the ability to toggle infinity scroll but I normally use ratchet and after enabling it and turning off both smooth scroll and smartshift I still run into the issue of the mouse just being inaccurate when scrolling. If I’m slow it’s fine but if I sped up a little bit some actions are missed or go the wrong way and it seems the mouse “unlocks” and just goes into infinity scrolling anyway. so I’m wondering from others who have had it for a long time if this is normal or if there’s any other way to fix it? Am I better off returning it and getting a mx master 4? Thanks everyone!
