Zero pain from Methotrexate Injections!

Medicines

I just wanted to add a positive experience for posterity. I just took my first methotrexate injection (.6 ml) which I am adding to Benlysta infusions and HCQ. I had zero pain from the injection using a 1 ml insulin needle. I expected a pinch, but I literally felt nothing. Thanks to several years of prednisone, I have plenty of cushion in my waistline, but the skin is sensitive, so I was a little worried. I opted to stretch the skin for a flat injection site rather than pinch an inch. The bottle was room temp-ish when I picked it up from the pharmacy, so that may also have helped and I will update if this changes once it is cold. But in the mean time I wanted to offer a little hope for those who are scared to do their first injection!
