MIOT Timings

Totally understand the need to be mindful of not mentioning dates etc. so I’ll keep things general. Would anyone be able to shed any light on roughly when I should have some contact regarding the pre-MIOT familiarisation and a confirmation of a start date in writing at all?

I had OASC last year and the conversation over the phone with the good news was the only time I’ve had a course date mentioned and then nothing but the security vetting email in the months following.

Slightly nervous with hoping that everything is ticking over in the background but my employer is starting to breath down my neck so that they can start planning for my absence etc.

Was anyone else’s experience also a relatively short notice confirmation that you were good to go? I’m talking 3-4 months prior to an apparent start date as a ballpark.
