Only read a few of its latest chapters a month or so ago. What I remember.

The mc took over a territory and it was going to be made official by the king as a reward, but a faction opposed to the mc tried to stop this by saying he lacks the skills to govern a territory. This leads to the king testing the mc by having him balance the national budget in a short amount of time.

The king who doesn't want to give the territory and the hostile faction are secretly working together believing the mc will fail, but the main character easily does it.
