Leveling lawn sand type help

I will be leveling my lawn at the end of this month. I am able to get screened topsoil, but I am having trouble getting masonry sand, as everything around me only offer plaster sand. From my understanding that could create some compaction issues. Has anybody ever tried the Masonary sand from Home Depot? Apparently they can deliver bulk of 1000 pounds.
