Is it normal to be fired "on spot" over text?

Unemployment

I ranted a bit so my bad 😭

but im a teenager and had a job at a smoothie place in my city, ive been here for 3 weeks which i understand is still in the prohibationary period but on tuesday i recieved a text saying id been fired effective immediately and stated my consistency/work ethic was the reason and that id been doing tasks i wanted but not tasks needed to be done but my team lead said i was doing all my tasks properly but it was just the standard i was doing them wasnt high enough/consistent? None of my coworkers said that they felt as if i was doing any of these things while working with them/none of them expected id get fired. I never had any discussions with the manager/team lead before this about my consistency or even about being terminated and they said its really weird/unprofessional that theyd just do it immeditely for text like that? I also had a shift the every next day the night they fired me and 3 others that week.

Is this normal?
