Passed P1 (1111) — Anyone else find FRM content dry or behind a huge paywall?
I recently cleared Part I with 1111, and am interning at a major bank in Market Risk this summer!
While studying, I was frustrated by the instructional video content. I'm someone who finds it hard to just read straight from a textbook, and every course was over 200 bucks. Also, for the free YouTube videos, most of what’s out there feels like someone just reading slides.
I’m planning to spend a significant amount of time (and my internship money) before I start full-time, making a curriculum series for Part I. I’d use a Lightboard setup (writing on glass) and actually create a comprehensive course for each book (for free).
I have some experience teaching undergrads, so I'll focus on the concepts in the materials rather than on reading the textbook.
Quick sanity check: before I spend a lot of time, effort, and money on this, would this be useful for anyone right now?
If I did this, what book would y'all want me to cover first?
Also, just as a disclaimer: Not looking to sell anything or break sub rules—just want to give back to the community after a frustrating study experience. I won't be self-promoting this content here.
