One question regarding Waddle doos.

If I’m not mistaken Kirby and the Crystal Shards was the intro to Waddle Doo. And it was only that one and it was due to dark matter fusing with the Waddle Dee because it found a crystal shard. HOW THE HECK ARE THERE SO MANY EVERYWHERE NOW? (of course it could just be HAL trying to add a new enemy variant or when Dark Matter flew off it found and possessed countless other Waddle Dees) Just a question that popped into my mind.
