PSA if you hit off mats a lot

Get your iron lofts and lies checked from time to time. I had been hitting a few irons right over greens for a while so I brought them to Golf Galaxy just hoping to figure out yardages on the simulator. Club tech guy asked me what I was up to and offered to check the lofts. My 9 and 7 were each 3 degrees strong! The 9 in particular had cost me quite a few shots as I seem to get that yardage often and I ended up in bad spots when that club carried 10-15 yards further than expected.

The guy said it’s common with forged irons and it’s a good idea to come in and check at least once in a while. He didn’t charge me anything after checking all the irons and adjusting 4 of them.
