Parked school bus with yellow lights only
I was leaving my kids school and was behind a special ed bus. It pulled over next to the side of the building (no entrance doors, kids wouldn't get off or on here, they are loaded by the front doors and were leaving). It pulled to the curb and turned on yellow flashing lights. I stopped, waited a few seconds, and then slowly proceeded around on the right, thinking they were probably getting situated inside. Another car followed me around. Two cars behind me they pulled back into the lane, never had red lights or stop arm out. The back of the bus said "no passing if red lights are flashing".
Then I second guessed my decision and looked it up when I got home. Apparently it is illegal to pass on the right of a bus with yellow lights. Has anyone gotten a ticket for this? I swear I am cautious around busses and would never run past a stop arm or red lights. But super anxious now. Ignorance is not an excuse so I've learned a lesson.
