Ideas for food to keep around for our nanny?
We have a great relationship with our nanny - what started as a temporary position has turned into a long term role for her, as we simply couldn’t part with her and send our baby to daycare. She’s the best.
We have always kept food in the fridge and let her know that she is welcome to whatever she wants, but I find that unless I explicitly outline to her what’s “for lunch” she often won’t eat or eat very little. Is there a better way I can encourage her to eat whatever she wants? I have tried asking what her favorite foods are, but she says she eats everything.
The issue is that it’s just me, my husband, and our 6 month old baby… so we don’t often have a FULLY stocked fridge with many meal options. It’s usually just chicken we grill/ whatever protein we have that week, leftover veggies we sauté, and 1-3 random assortments of side dishes we either make or buy, although we always make sure to make enough for her to have food.
Any info on easy food to keep around would be greatly appreciated!
