Dance Makeup

Hello! My daughter does dance competitions and I noticed whenever I do her make up, it always looks so powdery or separates. Any tips? I use the Tarte brand face tape foundation, urban decay primer and setting spray. What else can I do? I’m open for any tips or advice! Thank you!
