Unrequited crushes and sin

One topic I wanted to bring up is the relationship between sin and unrequited crushes or romantic interest. I’m convinced part of it is a consequence of universal sin, or living in a broken world.

But for example, if I like someone and they aren’t interested in me, should I go through a period of deep prayer searching for any sinful habits that led to an unrequited crush?
