Can you use navigation in Track Mode?

I recently purchased a 2023 model y performance and it came with Track Mode. However, whenever I activate track mode there is no navigation option. The map is still there but it forces me to drop a pin and there is no spot to type in the destination like in the normal navigation search bar. Has anyone else experienced this or am I doing something wrong here?
