I guess at this point, I should start off with the important things:

[Brother] had what could be described as the most standard of lives. He moved out of his home to go to university, leaving his sister behind. The two had always been thick as thieves, and when she had moved out, [Sister] made sure to attend the same university as her brother.

As the days turned into years at his college, [Brother]'s life became repetitive, to the point where he hardly noticed at first just how different things had become one day. All the buildings on campus looked slightly older, new statues and old ones removed. There was snow in what was supposed to be July, and nobody seemed bothered.

After some time gathering information and figuring things out, [Brother] began to panic. It seems that twenty-five years had passed for everyone else, and not a single year had passed for him. It took some time for him to figure out what to do, but he eventually found a taxi, and enough for a fare to his old home.

[Brother] stood on the sidewalk, simply staring in shock at the house, the paint faded from the vibrant pink it was it had been repainted what felt like mere months ago. He only come to when [Sister] stood on the porch.
