dynamic vs impact shorts

hi!! I am looking to buy a pair of the dynamic shorts. I currently own the impact shorts in a large and they fit me good! I know the dynamic shorts are supposed to be more of a relaxed fit, which I am looking for on days that I do not feel like wearing shorts that are as tight as impact. that being said, should I get them in a large or a medium? Ive heard the dynamic sizing is different than impact, which is why im asking. I dont want them to be baggy but I also do not want them to be extremely tight, either. The large on impact fits me very snug!
