Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos worse from breastfeeding? Anyone know anything about this? Or is it something else?

Support Needed

So I’m about six months postpartum and breastfeeding has been going fairly well since around 2-3 months, but I have been in so much pain ever since giving birth and it is only getting worse.

My joints in general are stiff and in a lot of pain, but in particular my feet and ankles are in agony — I cannot walk barefoot at all anymore, not even to the bathroom from the bed. It feels like my body is a crumbling cookie that I’m trying to keep together. It’s worse when getting up from lying down or even sitting to an extent. Everything feels so fragile and unstable, and I’m concerned because my son is growing and I don’t know if my body can take much more having to carry him a lot of the day (Velcro baby).

I know I need to talk to a doctor, but every doctor I’ve spoken with has zero clue about hEDS and aren’t terribly knowledgeable about breastfeeding, assuming it’s related (I think it’s the relaxin). Anyone experience anything like this? Any advice? I don’t want to stop breastfeeding if it’s unrelated, but I don’t know how to tell if it is.
