Is Styrammuth really that good?

I see him on a lot of teams, and to be honest, his signature abilities only seem average. I get that stats are important too, but Icicle Crash being a multi-hitter is kinda lame, plus it... only causes Switch Curse? I mean, that's okay, but it doesn't seem any better than a lot of monsters. He has Aurora Coat which heals him and gives him some block, but even this feels... meh.
