Has anyone had luck getting Praluent when excluded from formulary?

I have been on Repatha for about two months for familial hypercholesterolemia. I’m having a lot of side effects including increased PVCs and my doctor feels it may be a reaction to the latex. I have never had a latex allergy so I’m not sure why that’s a thought but regardless she thinks I should try Praluent to see if I tolerate it better.

The issue is, Praluent is excluded from formulary and I don’t know if it’s even possible. She also mentioned Leqvio, but also excluded.

I have Express Scripts for my pharmacy benefits and Repatha was covered without PA but of course the alternatives are not 🤦🏼‍♀️

Any similar experiences?
