Need to fix my return, supersede or amend?

Is it possible to submit the corrected return before the 15th? 1040 schedule C 1099 income. Used a CPA, asked him about amending and he said has to be done by paper after the deadline, but I'm reading starting 2022 it's possible to e-file a superseded return before the deadline, so he might've just not known about it. Going to ask again tomorrow but want to be sure.
