Walmart Canada Return Policy confusion.

I recently had to return an item which falls under the consumer electronic category. On all Walmart Canada receipts, the back side instructs customers to view the return policy online. According to the site page (link), customers have 30 days from the purchase date to return consumer electronics purchased in-store.

When I attempted to make the return, the customer service employee and the Assistant store Manager both argued that consumer electronics fall under a 14 day limit to return. I showed them that the website that is printed on their receipt states 30 days. They presented a binder that did in fact show Consumer Electronics fall under the 14 day limit. I examined the binder and noticed that the "last revised date" was May of 2023.

Though I cannot confirm with absolute certainty, I do not believe that stores have their own unique return policies and that their binder is in fact out of date. A phsycial document dated 3 years old cannot override what is stated on the receipt. It is binding.

Are there any employees here who can verify either my side or the store's side? Im not angry or starting a battle with the Walmart staff, I genuinely enjoy udnerstanding amd debating policies haha. (The manager did however, get defensive and somewhat aggressive, unfortunately).

Let me know if you need any more information. Thank you!
