Is this guy being nice or is he trying to steal my music?

Hello Reddit! This is my first ever post and I need some advice. I’m an aspiring singer/songwriter and this guy who masters and mixes music reached out to me saying that he really liked my style and wanted to help produce one of my songs. The kicker is that he sad he would do it free of charge, just because he loves spreading good music. I’m not entirely sure of the copywriter laws when it comes to writing original music.

Is this a way people steal your music or is he genuinely just a nice guy? Any and all opinions are very helpful here!!
