Recommendation on first control pad? Currently using Artisan Zero

Question/Advice

My first real mousepad was probably the Artisan Zero, I can't recall if I got soft/medium but I purchased this around 4+ years ago and have always used cheap $10 mousepads. I've upgraded everything else in my setup multiple times besides my mousepad. I mainly play Valorant/Marathon/LoL, mostly FPS games that would probably benefit from a cloth control pad. I've tried an aluminum mousepad years ago before and absolutely hated it so I probably wouldn't like glass. I peaked imm3 in Val but sometimes I feel like my aim is fairly shaky or almost "too snappy" in the sense of not being accurate enough with micro flicks. Not sure if skates are recommended with certain mousepads so I'd love to hear about thoughts on those as well.

I'm seeing T99 being mentioned everywhere but I also wouldn't mind trying more niche recommendations like Tenta-X's control pad. Thanks.
