Anyone have experience scanning with an Epson flatbed scanner?

So I’ve been scanning Pokemon cards using my Epson V39ii and it’s amazing, super good scan quality. When I scan I do 8-9 cards on the scanner at a time. I scan the front, then I flip them all over, making sure to keep them in the same place, then scan the back. I have noticed that the Auto Mode that the scanner does is amazing at grabbing each scan and cropping them nicely, but it scans them in a different order sometimes, so that when they are saved in the output folder, the front scan doesn’t always sit in the same order as the back scan, so I am left manually having to try and match the back of each card scan to each card and reorder them.

Does anyone know how it selects the order that it scans each card in and are you able to change this?
