The sweats are going to kill this game
I've got 160 hours in the game, even though I'm a marginal player who gets his ass handed to him 9 times out of 10 in PvP. I truly love this game. it's scratching an itch that has been there since The Final Shape finished. I'm just as concerned about the player count as everyone else, and i want this game to last. But the sweats who attack everyone who try to come up with ideas to make this game even the slightest more casual friendly for its long-term health are going to drive away the casual players any AAA live service game needs to survive. And what's funny is the folks who will say players just need to git gud are the same ones who will say the biggest issue with Destiny is its absolutely terrible new player onboarding. I want to be playing this game next year, 2 years from now, 5 years from now. That means casual players need to be able to find the game approachable. And I'm not talking easier. Elden Ring proved you could take a Souls game and make it approachable for the average gamer. That's all Marathon needs.
