How to Order Your First Haul

Guide

Welcome to r/germanreps_dd89. This guide covers everything you need to know to successfully order your first haul. For deeper details and ongoing tips, make sure to check out our wiki, which contains valuable and regularly updated info.reddit+1

1. Using an Agent

We strongly recommend using an agent. Agents handle communication with sellers, receive your items in their warehouse, take QC (quality check) photos, and ship your haul to you—reducing scam risk and making the whole process much easier.

There are many agents out there, but we maintain a curated list of trusted, community-approved agents in our wiki.

2. Finding Items

When you’re starting out, it’s usually not a good idea to hunt for items completely on your own—especially if you don’t know how the retail version is supposed to look. Instead, use these methods:

  • Reddit: Use the search bar in rep-related subreddits to look up the item name, scroll through posts, and check what others are buying and linking.
  • Reverse image search: Upload a photo of the item to your agent (if supported) or use external tools to trace the product back to a seller page.
  • Trusted sellers: Browse our vetted seller lists in the wiki; many of them have albums or full stores you can explore.

If you’ve genuinely tried all three methods and still can’t find what you want, you’re welcome to make a post using the W2C (Where to Cop) flair.

3. Placing an Order

Once you’ve found your items:

  • Go to your agent and paste the item link into their search bar.
  • Select your size, colorway, and batch (if applicable), then add the item to your cart.
  • Tip: Leave items in your cart for a few days or even weeks before paying—this helps you avoid impulse buys you might regret later.

Before checking out, estimate your shipping cost and total weight. Try to keep your haul under 10 kg to lower the chance of customs issues.reddit+1

4. Warehouse & QC Photos

After you pay, sellers ship your items to the agent’s warehouse, which can take some time—be patient.

Once an item arrives, your agent will upload QC photos for you to review:

  • Check size, color, logos, proportions, and any known flaws.
  • If the item doesn’t meet your standards, you can usually request a return or exchange.
  • Agents will typically warn you in advance if an item is non-returnable.

5. Shipping Your Haul

After you’ve approved your items:

  • Select them in your warehouse and request repacking or rehearsal if offered; it costs a bit extra but saves space and helps protect your items.
  • Again, try to keep the total parcel weight below 10 kg to reduce customs risk.
  • If you’re over that limit, split your haul into two or more smaller packages.
  • Shipping lines and declaration strategies vary by destination. Use the search bar and past threads to find what works best for your country.

Once shipped, track your parcel using services like 17track.net. Some lines won’t update until the parcel reaches your country, so don’t panic if tracking is quiet for a while.

6. After Arrival (Optional but Recommended)

Help the community by posting a review:

  • Share your haul with item links and QC photos.
  • Give honest feedback on quality, sizing, shipping time, and any issues.

Even a short review can be extremely helpful for other members planning their first haul.

If you’ve followed everything above—congrats on your first haul, and welcome to the rep game.
