Hey everyone,

Some of you already know about this. For those who are new here, I built a free web app for DIY microneedling and I wanted to properly introduce it in this community since this is its home.

**Where it came from 🌱**

I got into microneedling through communities like [r/Microneedling](/r/Microneedling/) and [r/DIYHEAVEN](/r/DIYHEAVEN/) for quite some time. Over time, I built up a process that worked for me: which serum for which goal, how deep for each zone, what to avoid and for how long. At some point I stopped keeping notes and started building a tool. Then I figured it was worth sharing.

I am not a professional. My career is elsewhere and my channel is slow travel reflection videos. This is a side project built out of genuine curiosity and a lot of hours reading research papers.

**What the app does ⚙️**

It asks you 7 questions and builds a personalised session plan based on your answers.

* 🧬 **Biological sex**: skin thickness, depth adjustments, beard zones flagged automatically
* 🎯 **Goals**: anti-aging, brightening, glow, acne scars, pores, hair regrowth, hydration
* 🔬 **Skin state**: sensitive, oily, dry, combination, rosacea, active acne, hyperpigmentation
* ☀️ **Sun exposure and season**: UV levels and climate shift recommended depths
* 📅 **Upcoming events and treatment intention**: downtime calibrated from 24h to 7 days
* 🎂 **Age range**: collagen needs and cellular response shift across decades
* 💊 **Pain tolerance and numbing cream**: cartridge and technique guidance adapts accordingly

**What you get 📋**

✦ Ranked serum recommendations matched to your profile with a new compare feature so you can see all three picks side by side and understand exactly why each one is ranked where it is

✦ Depth per zone across the full face: forehead, cheeks, temples, under-eye, nose, chin, perioral and neck; calculated for your specific profile with hard guardrails for vascular risk

✦ A sterile step-by-step session guide that adapts to your pain tolerance and skin state

✦ A post-session reintroduction timeline showing exactly when to bring back actives, makeup, exercise and swimming

✦ A save as image button that generates a full summary PNG ready to keep on your camera roll during the session

**What is new in this version 🔄**

✦ A product comparison sheet: tap Compare all picks after seeing your recommendations and a bottom sheet slides up showing all three products side by side. Goals matched, formula tier, best for, sensitive skin and vascular risk all visible at a glance. Horizontally scrollable so it works cleanly on any device.

✦ A mandatory disclaimer screen before results load: because I want to be fully transparent that this is personal research, not clinical guidance

✦ Ranking explanation on every product card: so you can see at a glance why one product ranks above another even if it matches fewer goals

✦ Hair regrowth protocol fully separated with its own depth logic: stamp only at 0.5mm, fully explained

✦ Beard and moustache zone filtering on the face map: affected zones are automatically dimmed

**A few things worth being clear about 📌**

The app is free. Always will be.

Products are from MeamoShop. I am an affiliate, fully disclosed. I share my code the same way I would drop it in a comment recommending a serum. Use code JOSE for at least 15% off.

The code is fully open. Anyone can read the logic and cross check it against the academic sources linked in the About section of the app.

Nothing here is medical advice. Always consult a licensed professional before having any microneedling protocol.

**Where it is going 🗺️**

This is version 1.3.

I am actively improving it. If something looks scientifically off, if a factor is missing or a recommendation does not make sense, please report it or share it in the comment. That is genuinely why this post exists, so I can learn from your feedback and keep improving the content in a transparent manner.

Best,

— Jose
