AIO If I Go To My Professors Supervisor for Accusing Me of Using AI

🎓 academic/school

It’s a little more complicated then the title, but for context, I’m finishing my associates before going to university and am currently taking three accelerated courses, one being philosophy. My teacher for PHI said on our first discussion post that he assumed I was using ai because I talked about certain things regarding the topic that we didn’t cover in the module. I tried explaining to him that this is due to me having studied it before, but if he would like I would gladly rewrite it using only the lecture based info, as long as I could get some points. He didn’t seem to like that idea saying “if you actually cared about studying philosophy why wouldn’t you use my lectures offered to you” and kept it zeroed out, I completely understood since I mean I definitely shouldn’t have done that.

The problem is for the second and third discussion posts he also thinks they’re AI, despite me only using the lectures as resources. Although he didn’t directly say why he thinks they’re written by AI, by the way he was talking to me I’m assuming it’s because of the difference in writing quality between the main discussion post and my required responses to other classmates as he said the responses “show a complete and utter lack of critical thinking skills” which I found a bit harsh but I moved on. For these assignments we are required to respond to another classmates post and add onto it, but after almost 60 hours at this college and taking 20+ courses not a single teacher has actually looked at them, so I assumed he’d be the same and not give much thought to them. I tried explaining this too but he didn’t want to hear that either.

Now he wants to meet in person to talk about how to move forward, I don’t know if that means he wants to me redo them somehow, quiz me to see if I know the info or not, or just try and zero me out, but either way I don’t really want him grading my assignments anymore. He’s just been passive aggressive and is going from 0 to 100 in my opinion. Would it be overreacting to talk to his supervisor and ask for an unbiased proctor to grade my work from now on if possible?
