I cant work full time and be a stay at home parent. I need help!

Im annoyed and going to vent. My husband and I will talk about this later, when I am calm and I will say most of this to him then.

We have been married for almost 20 years. Once our oldest child was born I was a stay at home parent. I got my degrees and went back to work when our youngest was in 1st grade. I've been working full time for almost 6 years now. My husband retired a couple years ago and is currently staying home before moving on to his next business. I have no issues with him not working, if he never wanted to work again that would be fine. I do take issue with him thinking I can do a majority of the household chores along with working full time. I ask for help and get attitude from him. I get hit with "just because you work doesnt mean you can stop being a mother" if one of the kids doesnt do a chore. Umm, Buddy I stayed home and took care of the house, kids, finances, was both mom and dad most of their young years. I coached teams, was PTA board because nobody else wanted to, chaperoned all field trips, did every Dr visit, every sick day, cooked every meal and took care of your entire life too. I cant continue doing all that and work 40+ hours a week. its time for you to step up too! Ugh, I am super annoyed. Now yo calm down a little more to have an adult conversation without flying off the handle and exaggerating things.
