Am I dumb?

i run kde neon (an ubuntu based linux distro) and i got steamvr working through alvr, i have valve index controllers so i wanted to use them so i found a fork or openvr space calibrator that works on linux, installed it after a few hours got to calibration and it indefinitely stays on the "starting calibration" page. When I check the logs, it says that the driver isnt installed even though i have checked that the folder is there and its enabled in steamvr. i hav no idea what to do now. heres the link to the github i used: https://github.com/xi-ve/openvr-space-calibrator-linux
