Can I just restart?

I’m a 29F. My career is in Environmental Education with a degree in it. A field I thought was my life calling and when done right can be so rewarding.

The last 4 years I’m just burned out. The high risk of it (canoeing, kayaking program), the low pay, minimal or no benefits, insane hours, no breaks, it’s really hard on your body, super political at a lot of non profits, budget cuts. I’m just done.

The main reasons I got into the field is not happening anymore or is impossible.

I got a new job, started last week. I thought it would be perfect, it’s not. It confirmed I don’t want to do this job anymore.

I think I want to be an elementary school teacher instead.

I want to quit and start over. Can I?
