JUST VENTING

My current position shifted from nanny to basically maid and oh my god it’s really really bugging me. This is one of my last weeks with the family so everyday they’ve arrived 15-20 mins past my scheduled out time. Walked in to dishes from last night, mind you I literally cooked dinner because they were so late. The kids attend daycare or school m-f 8:00-4:00 I arrive at 7:00 to get them all up and ready but I don’t leave until 6pm. I’m expected to clean from 8:30/9:00 til 3:30 when I pick the oldest up. The DB added a bunch of tasks to the list that was not in my contract oh mind you I’m also 38 weeks pregnant and some of the tasks (using bleach) are literally unsafe or climbing a ladder and dusting the giant fan… I’m sorry no I’m not your maid especially for $28/hr. My contract was 90% childcare & LIGHT household cleaning/ house manager duties what they’ve tacked on is insane.

I offically leave next week and I think they know I’m not returning. They posted my job kept all the duties but severely lowered the pay $20-$23/hr.
