Are you supposed to ride the wave of the 4 month sleep regression or sleep train through it?
Our baby is 110% hitting his 4 month regression early. Very distinctly started at 12 weeks and we are going on 2 weeks of REALLY rough times and continuing.
He is a high needs very highly sensitive baby. Very.
I feel like there's a lot of conflicting information out there. But I feel like for the most part it boils down to two ideals:
1.) It's a regression. Let them ride the wave and see how they come out on the other side. Support them in whatever way you can. Do whatever you got to do.
2.) Because the regression is a level of sleep development, we need to train them so that they do not come out with long-term sleep issues or false associations on the other side.
What has worked for you? Any thoughts on this?
I really don't want to be the type that is cosleeping, contact napping, etc past 6 months... No judgment but that's just not for us.
