Moving my TrueNas install from bare metal to ProxMox, any advice?

So I used Proxmox before but have recently had a situation where it has started to make more sense to virtualize everything, I have heard that it is possible and some might say preferable to run truenas through a vm and pass through the drives. I like this idea as I can run all of my servers through one website with clusters without losing pretty much any performance while also being able to get more out of the current system. So im curious how do I go about doing this transfer without loosing any data. I also have scrypted as an app and a HAOS vm I had before I got the new Proxmox servers and would like to keep these but it's not urgent. In the case of HAOS would probably prefer to export that to Proxmox anyway
