Using XReal One Pro and Beam Pro for emulation

Beam Pro

I follow the handheld emulation community, and I bought the Beam Pro without even considering that many of my favorite android emulation apps would work beautifully. I was hesitant to buy my beam pro and one pro because I feel like they are on the cusp of new product release announcement, but I ended up pulling the trigger anyway.

I now have ES-DE set up and it seems like the Beam Pro can play up to PS2 and Gamecube pretty well, around 2x resolution. It is a treat for 3DS too with Azahar. I dabbled with using the SBS 3d support on both Azahar and Dolphin, which I've only gotten to actually work once or twice, but when I did, it was genuinely pretty incredible.

I haven't had much luck with GameNative or that sorta thing yet--I think that's just too much for what is basically a mid-range phone chip from a couple years ago. All that said, the stuff it does support is awesome in AR. For 16-bit era systems, I'm running them with a bunch of shaders that produce a pretty great big-screen experience. CRT glow filters which normally fall a little flat on handhelds really shine in the glasses. 3:4 aspect ratio systems are also really comfortable, because you can blow them up bigger than 16:9 content without feeling like you need to turn your head left and right to see some HUD.
