Children's picture book, animals living/working in a castle, early/mid 1990s
I remember reading this book in the USA between 1990 and 1996. It was definitely published in 1996 or earlier. It's a picture book of anthropomorphic animal living and working in a castle or medieval setting. It was somewhat cartoonish, but not (I think) slapstick funny. It was more of a "day in the life" kind of book, rather than having a storyline. Definitely not a comic, but it would have perhaps a paragraph of text, and then a picture.
The book itself was paperback, and largish - think maybe a foot squared. The color yellow comes to mind when I think of the book, this may have been the color of the animals - maybe they were rodents of some kind?
I remember one page, and it was of these animals (all wearing helmets of some kind, and perhaps soldier uniforms?), and they had ropes tied to what appeared to be a screw, and they were running around it to screw it into the ground.
Any help would be appreciated - thank you!
