what if philippines became a US state?

what if philippines became a US state? will it be 1 big state or will it be divided into 3 states
(state of luzon visayas and mindanao)?

will it be a good or a bad thing and what are the advantages and disadvantages.

personally i think it's not that good. like what my uncle in the us always say, we earn USD but we also spend usd. usd is only good if converted to weaker currency.
