wondering if this would considered malpractice

Hi. i just found out i have about a 5 inch blood clot in my arm from my IV. I was in the hospital about 2 weeks ago because i had food poisoning and threw up so hard that i tore my esophagus. i was there for 3 days and two IVs for the first time in my life, one in each arm. The first day i was there i got a lv in my right arm, a couple hours later they put another in my left arm. i would say about 9 hours of my Iv being in my left arm it started to burn. I told my nurses several times that my IV was burning. They unhooked it from the fluids but left the IV in my arm. They started only using the right one. On my last day at the hospital my right arm started filling up with fluids and my fingers were swollen and filled with fluid to the point i couldn't move them, or my arm. so they finally unhooked me from both, since i was going to be discharged soon anyways. they finally took out both IVs and i was sent home with my right arm filled with fluid. they told me to apply heat and keep it elevated and it will go away. My right arm was better in about 2 days. But then the vein in my left arm started to get hard. i looked up online and it said it was normal so i wasn't worried at first. Now two weeks go by and my hard vein kept getting longer and started growing two little lumps. So i went to urgent care yesterday and was told i have Superficial venous thrombosis in my left arm. It's about 5 inches long starting from the middle of my forearm to just past my inner elbow. The troubling thing is that i have been having chest pains and find it hard to breathe. But considering that i had torn my esophagus two weeks ago im not sure if it's from that or it could be a clot in my chest. I'm honestly not even sure if it's from the severe anxiety i have been having. I have another appointment tomorrow for the doctor to take a look at it. I'm also not sure if this would be considered a malpractice because of them leaving the IV for almost two more days after i told the multiple times that it was burning.
