Good descriptive words for music?

I get pretty frustrated when writing my AOTY reviews because I always feel like I don't quite have the vocabulary to say what i'm thinking. Watching fantano's reviews is so interesting because he can always articulate his point through the use of some great descriptive words about specific styles of sound.

What are some good descriptive words for specific music that you can think of? I'm trying to make myself a little dictionary so I can be more articulate.

Please don't tell me to read publications and listen to critics to pick up these words, i'm currently doing that but just looking for some further input and maybe share some knowledge if anyone else has the same issue.
