Copium Theory

On March 9 the Terry Rozier situation was partially resolved as ESPN announced that the Hornets had agreed to send Miami a second round pick. While we all agree that this is not fair compensation, here's my theory (pure copium):

Adam Silver said "don't make a big stink in the media and we'll give you a top 4 pick if you can manage to miss the playoffs and make the lottery".

Since then we've gone 5-9

(5-10 if / when we los tonight)

So Miami is gonna lose in the play in and we'll magically move into the top 4 even though according to this website we have less than 5% chance of making it to the top 4:
