How do I add flavor to Voila! Chicken Bacon Ranch Mac?

I "made" Birds Eye Chicken Bacon Ranch Mac & Cheese tonight. It looked really good - big chunks of tender chicken. moderate quantity of broccoli florets and pasta. I went with the big value size so there were four pouches of "cheese sauce flavored with ranch seasoning and bacon". It had absolutely no flavor at all. None, zero, zip, zilch.

But it looked so good! First I sprinkled on a little Tajin and all I could taste was lime, salt and a little chili so that didn't work. Next I tried some McCormick Gourmet Cajun and that added a lot of flavor but nothing the brought out the cheesy, bacon and ranch flavors that should have been there to start with.

Does anyone have any tips on how to make this into something that's as tasty as it is visually appealing? Maybe I should have added some Hidden Valley seasoning and additional cheese while it was simmering, ya think?
